Our Story

Founders Alex Ewig, Javier Calzada and Mike Baldwin bring over 25 years of nearshore experience to BMNS.

Prior to BMNS, Alex was the CEO of Martec International as Javier led Martec’s Latin American team of over 300 people. During their time at Martec, they experienced the value of nearshore talent firsthand by utilizing it within their own operations.

After selling Martec, they founded BMNS (with Mike) to help companies around the world unlock the benefits of global talent—the same advantages Alex and Javier realized during their time at Martec.

Notably, the company that acquired Martec remains a client of BMNS today and continues to leverage the many benefits of Latin American talent, without the hassle of managing the workforce in-house.

Separately, Mike was a long-time client of Martec and an industry veteran in transportation and logistics. He is currently the Chairman of the Board of ITS ConGlobal, a leading provider of transportation and technology services in the intermodal industry.

Additionally, Mike is a seasoned operator and has served as a board member of various portfolio companies of KKR, AMP Capital and Digital Bridge. Mike and Alex are also Co-Founding Partners of Briarwood Partners, a private investment firm that focuses on investing in middle-market companies across the United States.

Alex, Javier and Mike are operators at their core, and know that building a strong team is the key to any successful business.
